Before Los Angeles was divided by new area codes, there was 213.

From 1947 until the city’s growth reshaped the map, 213 represented a generation of Angelenos who believed in something bigger than themselves. In 1984, the San Fernando Valley became 818. In 1991, the Westside, including Venice, became 310. The numbers changed, but the values that built this city never should have.

We grew up in Venice during that time. We remember when neighbors knew one another, kids played outside until the streetlights came on, and a handshake meant everything. Your word was your bond. Honor, integrity, loyalty, and respect weren’t slogans—they were simply how people lived.

Los Angeles has changed. More people. More neighborhoods. More area codes. Yet despite everything, the spirit that made this city special is still here. It hasn’t disappeared. It just needs to be remembered, lived, and passed on.

OG 213 Clothing was created to honor that spirit.

Our designs celebrate the history, diversity, and culture of Los Angeles—from the beaches and streets to the artists, skaters, workers, musicians, and families who have shaped this city. We believe LA’s greatest strength has always been its people, not its zip codes or area codes.

This brand isn’t about looking backward.

It’s about carrying forward the values that made Los Angeles feel like home.
